Do you generally agree with the concept of 'creative' biographies?
In recent days, from Katherine Frank's Indira Gandhi to Natalia Prigarina's Ghalib, there have been charges of creative inventions. Do you think it is an acceptable trend?

Are Indian writers all that good? The Death of Vishnu. One more story of an astronomical sum being paid to an Indian writer. Is Manil Suri, the mathematician from Maryland, worth all the money he is getting?

Are Indian writers in English any good?
Indians put up a bad show at the Booker this year with both the nominees not making to the finals. The Indian entries may have been inferior in comparison. Or it could be that the hype about Indian writing in English is a part of the grand design of the market forces. What do you think?
