They displayed the skulls of their fellow-farmers who lost their lives, they ate rats and even rolled on the street. A group of Tamil farmers have hit the headline several times for their unique way of protesting in the national capital. But, they took everyone on surprise when they stripped outside the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and ran naked on the road.

The Indian Express reported that the farmers resorted to this extreme step after they were denied permission to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A delegation of seven farmers were taken to the Prime Minister’s Office and were told that they would meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. However, they did not get to meet him, and had to hand over their memorandum to a PMO official, the report said.

The farmers were escorted out of the PMO by a police vehicle. Soon, one of the farmers jumped out of the van and stripped on the road, shouting slogans. He was then followed by two other farmers who also stripped and shouted slogans.

The farmers have been protesting at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar for the last few weeks demanding a relief package for farmers from the central government.
