A remake of Kaithi, the film was released in 2D and 3D, and reportedly, the former version is doing better among viewers. Both the versions saw 19 percent and 17.76 percent occupancy in theatres, respectively.
‘Bholaa’ is Devgn’s fourth film as director, after ‘U Me Aur Hum’, ‘Shivaay’, and ‘Runway 34’. Comparatively, ‘Bholaa’ has shown as a stronghold at the BO, however, it has managed to pull as much audience as Ajay’s last film, ‘Drishyam 2’, which crossed Rs 340 crore worldwide. ‘Bholaa’ will nonetheless see decent collections at the box office until Salman Khan’s ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ releases on April 21. However, Ramadan and IPL certainly did have an effect on numbers, especially in the mass pockets.
