Actor Dinesh Phadnis aka Fredericks of 'CID' was recently rushed to a hospital in Mumbai after he reportedly had a heart attack. His co-star Dayanand Shetty has shared the health update. Dinesh Phadnis is currently on a ventilator. He is currently at Mumbai’s Tunga Hospital.

Dayanand told Pinkvilla that Dinesh didn't suffer a heart attack. He had liver damage because of which he was immediately rushed to Tunga Hospital, Malad. ''For the last two days, he has been very critical. Today morning also I've learnt that there's no major improvement. We're hoping he gets better soon,'' he said.
''Dinesh was getting treated for some other ailment but the medication affected his liver adversely. That's why it is always recommended to take medicines very carefully. You never know when the medicine that one is taking to treat something can cause another major ailment. One should be very careful regarding allopathic medicines,'' he added.
Shetty also said that the entire 'CID' team is always in touch and they often meet and do their little reunions.
'CID' was one of the longest-running television shows in India. It went on air in 1998. Dinesh Phadnis and the other cast became household names with their roles.
