'Dunki' Box Office Collection Day 6: Shah Rukh Khan Starrer Witnesses A Huge Drop On Tuesday

Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Dunki' saw a huge dip in its collections on Tuesday. The film is inching closer to Rs 150 crore mark in the domestic market.

Shah Rukh Khan-led film 'Dunki' is struggling hard to survive at the box office. The movie which was released on December 21 opened with Rs 29.2 crore and on Day 2 as per a report in Sacnilk, on Day 2, it saw a dip as it collected Rs. 20.12 crore, on Day 3, the film saw a slight growth as it raked in Rs 25.61 crore. On its first Sunday, the SRK-led film saw growth as it minted Rs 30.7 crore at the box office. The collections yet again saw a dip on Christmas as it pocketed only Rs 24.32 crore. The first Tuesday witnessed a major drop in its collections as 'Dunki' only earned Rs 10.25 crore net in India (as per early estimates) which is quite low.

So, the total box office collection of 'Dunki' on Day 6 stands at Rs 140.20 crore. It had an overall 22.28% Hindi Occupancy on Tuesday.

Day 1 (1st Thursday)- Rs 29.2 crore

Day 2 (1st Friday) Rs 20.12 crore

Day 5 (1st Monday) Rs 24.32 crore 

Day 6 (1st Tuesday) Rs 10.25 crore

The movie has collected around Rs 256 crore worldwide in Gross Box Office Collection (GBOC) after 5 days.

Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, 'Dunki' is a heartwarming story of friendships, borders, and longing for home and love. The film is based on an illegal immigration technique named 'donkey flight'. It's about four friends and how they aspire to land in England to fulfil their dreams. But they have problems getting visas and passports. Shah Rukh Khan's character Hardy pledges to take them to the country. They go through lots of difficulties as they cross deserts and seas.

The film marks Hirani and Shah Rukh Khan's first collaboration. It also stars Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani, Vikram Kochhar and Anil Grover in key roles.
