'Dunki' Vs 'Salaar' Advance Booking: Shah Rukh Khan starrer has sold more tickets on day 1 of advance booking than Prabhas' 'Salaar'.
Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Dunki' is one of the most awaited movies of the year. Just a few days left for the film to be released and the advance booking has already started. 'Dunki's advance booking has begun from Saturday, December 16. The family entertainer directed by Rajkumar Hirani is releasing in theatres on December 21. It is clashing with Prabhas' 'Salaar' that is hitting the screens on December 22.
As per reports, 'Dunki's advance booking is much higher than 'Salaar'. As per a report in sacnilk.com, the film has earned Rs 1.24 crore in advance booking.
The report also states that 33770 tickets of the Shah Rukh Khan starrer have been sold in total for 2836 shows in Hindi.
Trade analyst Sumit Kadel tweeted, “Dunki Initial pre-sale starts on a remarkable note. Film has sold 10K +tickets at national chain multiplexes. Non national chains showing good movement too. If the momentum continues then Dunki will challenge top films of 2023 in terms of final advance booking. Next 3 days will give a clear picture.”
'Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire' has collected over Rs 1 crore in advance bookings which include Rs 80.30 lakh in Telugu, Rs 21.03 lakh in Malayalam, Rs 1.76 lakh in Tamil and Rs 1900 gross in Kannada. In Hindi, 972 tickets were sold for the Prabhas' starrer for 67 shows and the amount earned is Rs 2.06 lakh. The total number of tickets sold for the Prashanth Neel directorial is 51280, with 867 shows. The total business made by the film is ₹1.05 crore via advance booking.
'Dunki' also stars Vicky Kaushal and Taapsee Pannu in pivotal roles. While Prabhas also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Shruti Haasan.
