After HBO made us wait throughout 2023, anticipating for a new season, HBO revealed a bunch of news from a handful of content at the Brazilian fan event Comic-Con Experience, and one of them was the teaser trailer of the series.
The teaser trailer for 'House of the Dragon Season 2' takes us back to Westeros to continue learning about the events that befell the Targaryen dynasty centuries before Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) came along to claim the Iron Throne. Following the devastating and shocking events of the Season 1 finale, we will once again circle around Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) and Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D'Arcy) as they battle it out for control of the area of Westeros.
Fans, as always, are hyped up. One user, "I'm emotionally unprepared for season 2, the story only gets crazy from this point." Another commented, "HotD is practically the only show I’m excited for. Season 1 was enthralling! Thank you, HBO, for putting so much care and thought into this! (and show writers…God bless you all, you’re awesome)"
HBO had already announced previously that the series would not return before 2024 because of the high production costs, lengthy post-production requirements, and months-long working schedule.
HBO premieres Season 2 of 'House of the Dragon' in the summer of 2024, and one thing is for sure: people will burn and blood will spill.
