‘Indian Matchmaking 3’ Trailer: Sima Taparia Is Back, This Time To Align The Stars Of Indians In UK

‘Indian Matchmaking’ Season 3 features Sima Taparia finding rishtas in the UK. The show will begin streaming on April 21.

Sima Taparia rose to fame with the first season of Netflix's ‘Indian Matchmaking’ after viewers across the globe witnessed on screen how arranged marriages in India are fixed by matchmakers. Now Sima Aunty, as she is popularly called, is back to find matches for Indians across the globe. But this time, she has targeted single Indians in the UK.

The trailer of the third season of ‘Indian Matchmaking’ was released by Netflix recently, and it features Sima aunty trying to match rishtas of single men and women along with their parents with the proposals she presents them with.

For the unversed, the earlier seasons of the show were also slammed by several people for glorifying age-old methods when it comes to finding matches. But a lot of people also liked the show for its so-bad-it's-good content.

Meanwhile, ever since the trailer got out, the fans reacted to it by writing, “Oh the guilty pleasure is back!!!”. One more fan commented, “Cringe. Gonna watch it.” Aparna Shewakramani, who appeared on the first two seasons, wrote, “We must know, do the stars actually align?!”

‘Indian Matchmaking’ was first launched in 2020 during the pandemic. In an earlier conversation with Today, Sima spoke about her role and said, “When the stars are aligned, that is the story. This is all destiny, nothing is in my hands. If the destiny is there, if the couple is aligned together, then it happens. But my way is just to show them the biodata and to match them, that’s all. In India, they say birth, marriage and death — these three things are not in our hands. These three things God has taken (and) a human being cannot do anything.”

‘Indian Matchmaking Season 3’ will start streaming from April 21.
