Reportedly, Ashima Chauhaan lodged a complaint with the Mumbai Police against her husband Pradhyuman Maloo and his family. They got married in 2022.
Remember Pradhyuman Maloo of 'Indian Matchmaking'? Well, the handsome hunk who appeared in the Netflix show has been accused of domestic violence. He was one of Sima Taparia's clients. His wife, Ashima Chauhaan, lodged a complaint with the Mumbai Police against her husband and his family. Pradhyuman and Ashima found each other through the show and they got married in Udaipur in 2022 in a grand wedding.
During the show, Pradhyuman claimed that he rejected 150 marriage proposals before Ashima and he had high expectations about the girl he would marry.
As per a report in Hindustan Times, Ashima lodged an FIR with Mumbai Police against Pradhyuman and his family alleging domestic violence against her. As per the FIR, Ashima left her home in September 2022 and she had to go through physical and emotional abuse by her husband and family. In the complaint, she also stated that they allegedly blackmailed her and she was also subjected to all forms of harassment.
Advocate Anmol Bartaria, who represents Ashima, said, "The allegations in the FIR lodged are grave and concerning with domestic violence and constant mental and physical abuse at its core. The matter is in the investigative stage and should be carried in full swing. Ashima is in the process of taking appropriate legal proceedings against the accused in accordance with the law.”
He also told that Ashima is in Bangalore now and is in no condition to comment on the matter. While Pradhyuman said, "I don't know about it. To the best of my knowledge, we are in settlement talks with the lawyers to resolve our marital issues amicably."
Well, Pradhyuman and Ashima have deleted all their Instagram posts together.
