Suhana Khan was left red-faced when she wrongly answered a question about her father Shah Rukh Khan.
The cast of Netflix’s latest release ‘The Archies’, including Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Dot, Agastya Nanda, Yuvraj Menda, Dot, Mihir Ahuja and Vedang Raina, promoted their film on the latest episode of Amitabh Bachchan‘s ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 15’. They were joined by the film’s director Zoya Akhtar.
Amitabh Bachchan had a fun time interacting with the young actors, but he was left amused when Suhana was clueless about one of the greatest honours — the Padma Shri — her father Shah Rukh Khan, had been honoured with in 2005.
In the KBC episode, Amitabh questioned Suhana, Vedang and Zoya about SRK during the ‘Super Sandook’ segment, and Suhana not knowing her father’s Padma Shri honour left him shocked. The question was: “Shah Rukh Khan has not yet received which of these honours?” The options given were: “(a) Padma Shri, (b) Legion of Honour, (c), L’Etoile d’Or and (d) Volpi Cup.”
As soon as Big B asked it, Suhana was quick to answer, “(a) Padma Shri”. Hearing Suhana answer it, both Amitabh and Vedang were shocked. While Vedang said, “How could you be wrong?” Big B said how could the daughter not know which award her father has got. For those unaware, Shah Rukh Khan was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2005.
Amitabh Bachchan jokingly reacted, “Beti ko pata nahi hai ki pita ko kya mila hai. Keval baap ne itna hi bata ke bheja hai ki wo saamne baitha hai usne tumhare baap ka kirdaar adaa kiya hai. Toh unko bol dena ki bhaiyya jara aaram se sawaal pucho. Abhi itna aaram se sawaal pucha phir bhi uska jawab nahi de payi ye. (The daughter does not know what the father has got. The father has sent her only by telling her that the person sitting in front of her has played the role of his father; and that I should ask his daughter easy questions. Now, that I have asked her an easy question, she still doesn’t not know the answer).”
Suhana was clearly embarrassed that she was unaware of the correct answer to the question, which was option (d) Volpi Cup.
Earlier in the show when Bachchan questioned Suhana if SRK gave her any advice before coming on KBC, which was hosted by SRK himself too, she said, “Unhone kahan ki aapko bas yaad dila du ki aapne unke father ka role play kiya hai toh ask me easy questions (He asked me to remind you that you have payed his father onscreen and hence ask easy questions)”.
Suhana was seen as Veronica Lodge in ‘The Archies’, whereas Bachchan’s grandson Agastya played Archie in the film.
