‘Kho Gaye Hum Kahan’ tackles the issue of urban loneliness. It might be a thing that people from small towns might not be able to even relate to. But it is a thing that affects and hurts young adults, especially in urban cities. With more people staying in urban cities, the time spent with each other has reduced considerably. This has led to people feeling a sense of loneliness. Despite having 20 close friends, a person might not be able to meet them even once a month as they all might be staying in different parts of the city and meeting them regularly is not an option considering the immense travel time between places. Eventually, neighbours and work colleagues are the ones who end up becoming close as they are the ones with whom you are regularly interacting. Soon enough, you start losing touch with your closest friends, who know you inside out, thereby leading to a terrible feeling of loneliness.
