‘Pathaan’ Box Office: Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone’s Film Crosses Rs 950 Crore Globally

Shah Rukh Khan's spy-thriller, which marks the comeback of SRK, also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham.

Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’, which was released three weeks ago on January 25, continues to break records. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the spy thriller also features Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. On its day 19 at the box office, the film earned Rs 12.50 crore nett, and the total collection of the Hindi version of the film stands now at Rs 469 crore.

Now the much-loved film is chasing the box office collection of SS Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubhali 2: The Conclusion’, whose Hindi version earned Rs 511 crore. If ‘Pathaan’ crosses into the Rs 500 crore club, it will be the first Bollywood film to do so. Moreover, Pathaan has crossed the Rs 924 crore mark at the global box office, and it is heading fast towards the Rs 1000 crore club.

Now moving ahead, the film continues to sail smoothly in its fourth week, because it will face competition after the release of Kartik Aaryan’s ‘Shehzada’ and Marvel’s ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’. After this, there will be a host of releases ahead, including Akshay Kumar’s ‘Selfiee’, Ranbir Kapoor-Shraddha Kapoor’s ‘Tu Jhooti Main Makkaar’ and Tabu-Ajay Devgn’s ‘Bholaa’.

Coming to ‘Pathaan’, the film opened with Rs 55 crore, emerging as the highest opening for a Bollywood film. Prior to the film's release, ‘Pathaan’ got embroiled into controversy due to its ‘Besharam Rang’ song despite SRK returning to the big screen after four long years, but it brought some relief to Bollywood when the film worked well amid all the boycott campaigns.

Shah Rukh Khan will see two releases this year, including Atlee’s ‘Jawan’ and Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Dunki’.
