'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' Box Office Collection: Alia Bhatt-Ranveer Singh Starrer Receives A Good Opening

Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh starrer 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' released in theatres on July 28. The movie marks Karan Johar's comeback as a director after a long hiatus. The family entertainer had been creating a lot of buzz since its announcement and the makers left no stone unturned to promote the film. 'RARKPK' has come out with flying colours at the box office. Also, it has got positive response from critics and audiences alike. It opened with great numbers on the first day of its release.

As per a report in Sacnilk.com, 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' raked in Rs 11.50 crore nett at the box office on Day 1. 

'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' is the story of Rocky (Ranveer Singh) and Rani (Alia Bhatt) who are from different backgrounds. Rocky is a Punjabi munda while Rani comes from a Bengali family. Both fall in love but it's not easy to convince their families. So, both decide to switch households for three months and live with each other's families. Things are not easy for them. They face lots of hardships and ups and downs. There are also tears, fights, love, romance, etc. 

Apart from Alia and Ranveer, the film also stars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Tota Roy Choudhury, Churni Ganguly, and Aamir Bashir among others. 

Ahead of the release of the film, there was a special screening for the celebs. From Abhishek Bachchan, Vicky Kaushal to Varun Dhawan and Shanaya Kapoor among others, everyone was all praise for the KJo's directorial.
