Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh starrer 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' witnessed a huge jump at the box office on Day 2.
'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh released in theatres on July 28. The film that marks Karan Johar's comeback as a director after seven years has got positive reviews from critics and audience. Also, it opened with good figures at the box office on Day 1. As per a report in Sacnilk, 'RRKPK' earned Rs 11.10 crore on Friday and on Day 2, the collection witnessed a jump.
On its first Saturday, the film minted Rs. 16 crore. So, the total box office collection of 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' stands at Rs 27.10 crore.
'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' is the story of Rocky (Ranveer Singh) and Rani (Alia Bhatt) who are from different backgrounds and cultures. Both fall in love but it's not easy to convince their families. So, they decide to change their households and stay with them for three months. The film has been praised by celebs like Varun Dhawan, Vicky Kaushal, Abhishek Bachchan, Shanaya Kapoor and Anurag Kashyap among others.
The romantic comedy is written by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan and Sumit Roy and is bankrolled by Dharma Productions and Viacom18 Studios.
The film also stars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Tota Roy Choudhury, Churni Ganguly, and Aamir Bashir among others. Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Panday have special appearances in it.
