‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ makers have shared the good news with all the fans of the show. Monaz Mevawalla has joined the show to play the character of Mrs Roshan Singh Sodhi.
The sitcom ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ has been in the news in the past few days for the comeback of Disha Vakani, but it seems that the makers have once again created unnecessary hype and not delivered on it. However, there is some good news coming from the makers. Monaz Mevawalla is all set to enter ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ and fill the vacant spot of Mrs Roshan Singh Sodhi, who was earlier played by Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal.
Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal had a massive fallout with the maker of the show. They had a very public feud after which she decided to walk out of the show.
Asit Kumarr Modi, who’s the creator and producer of ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, shared a press note welcoming Monaz Mevawalla to the show. “We are delighted to have Monaz Mevawalla. Her portrayal is anticipated to bring a new dimension to the already beloved series, captivating audiences with her performance.”
Monaz Mevawalla has been quite popular in numerous television shows. ‘Ardhangini’, ‘Saavdhan India’, ‘Risshton Ke Dor’, ‘Meet Mila De Rabba’, ‘Jai Durga’, ‘Jhilmil Sitaaron Ka Aangan Hoga’ and many other shows saw Monaz Mevawalla as one of the principal characters. With her now becoming a part of ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, it will just add another new feather to her already illustrious cap.
Monaz Mevawalla also shared her excitement on becoming a part of the show which has been running for over 15 years. She said, “I am thrilled and proud to be part of the TMKOC family. While this is good news for all fans, there is also a rising trend on social media for boycotting the show as the makers have been constantly creating a hype around the return of Disha Vakani as Dayaben, but eventually the same isn’t happening. This actress has been on a maternity leave for many years now and two or three times the makers have said that she is returning, but it never seems to happen. Let’s wait and watch when Disha Vakani decides to make a comeback.
