Adarsh Gourav Recalls His 'Insane' First Meeting With Shah Rukh Khan: I Thought I Had Collapsed

Adarsh Gourav, who is currently enjoying the success of his recent film 'Kho Gaye Hum Kahan,' has spilled the beans on his first-ever meeting with Shah Rukh Khan. Though he had starred in 'My Name is Khan' which had Khan playing the lead role, Gourav never got the opportunity to meet the superstar. 

For the unversed, Adarsh Gourav, who was only 14 when he starred in the film, played the character of a young Shah Rukh Khan in the film. 

During a conversation with the Humans of Bombay, Gourav expressed his excitement of meeting the 'Pathaan' actor. He was thrilled when he received a call, requesting his presence in America for the film's shoot. Unfortunately, it did not pan out for him, and he ended up filming in Mumbai, and did not get the chance to meet Khan. He said, “I was very excited to meet Shah Rukh Khan, and I never met him until a month ago after being in the same film because I was playing his younger version, so there was no overlap.”

Recalling his very first meeting with the actor only very recently, Gourav was star-struck and revealed that his "knees were trembling." "It was insane. I thought I'd collapsed to the ground," added Gourav.

Gourav went on to praise the 'Jawan' actor's calm nature. "He was so calm and so chill. He had seen 'Guns and Gulaabs.' So even before I could introduce myself, he told me who I am. So, which is why I was even more shocked. I was like, how is this happening? He’s such a great man to talk to. Great energy.”
