Ajay Devgn Starrer 'Maidaan' will lock horns with Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's film 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' on Eid, in April 2024.
Ajay Devgn starrer 'Maidaan' whose release date has been postponed several times has finally got a new release date. The sports drama will now hit the screens on Eid, in April 2024. Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's film 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' is already releasing on Eid. So, both films will lock horns at the box office.
On Sunday, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh announced on the X platform that 'Maidaan' will release in April on Eid. He wrote, “AJAY DEVGN: 'MAIDAAN' TO ARRIVE THIS EID. #Maidaan - starring #AjayDevgn - gets a new release date: April 2024 #Eid. Directed by Amit Sharma. #BoneyKapoor #ZeeStudios.”
'Maidaan' is directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma and co-produced by Boney Kapoor and Zee Studios. Ajay Devgn is playing legendary football coach Syed Abdul Rahim in the sports drama.
The movie has been delayed several times due to the pandemic and other reasons. Earlier, there were reports that 'Maidaan' was delayed due to budget and unfinished shoot. Earlier, in an interview with Hindustan Times, Boney Kapoor had said, “I recently showed some portions of the film to almost 300 people in Chennai and they loved it. The film’s shoot is complete; however, extensive VFX work is underway, which is taking some time. Contrary to what reports suggest, the budget has not been exceeded.”
'Maidaan' also stars Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, and Bengali actor Rudranil Ghosh among others.
Talking about 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan', the film is produced by Pooja Entertainment and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. The teaser will be out on January 24.
As per a report in IANS, "The teaser is said to span over 100 seconds and will be a visual spectacle, blending high-octane action sequences with character build-up, setting the stage for a cinematic feast. Scheduled to screen with 'Fighter' at select properties across India, this teaser is poised to be a powerful and captivating first look at what promises to be a massive Eid release."
