Alia Bhatt Describes Vikrant Massey-Starrer '12th Fail' As 'Inspiring', Deepika Padukone Agrees

'12th Fail' has been garnering praise ever since its release. Many filmmakers, actors, film critics as well as audiences have been heaping praise on the Vidhu Vinod Chopra-directorial. Its lead Vikrant Massey has been riding high on its success, and seems to finally be getting the recognition that he deserves.

Joining the list is Alia Bhatt who, better late than never, watched '12th Fail' and took to her social media to give her opinion of the film. She shared the movie's poster and penned a note, full of love.

Reacting to the 'Raazi' actress' story, Deepika Padukone has become the latest celebrity to share her opinion of the heart-warming film. She took to her social media to extend her congratulatory wishes to the film's cast and crew. Re-sharing Alia's review of the film, she wrote, “+ 1, I couldn’t agree more! Congratulations to the entire cast and crew... Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Vikrant Massey, Medha Shankr.”

The film, which premiered on Disney+ Hotstar recently after having a theatrical release in October 2023, has been loved by many celebrities including Kangana Ranaut, Katrina Kaif, Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Kamal Haasan, Rohit Shetty, to name a few.

Directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, '12th Fail' revolves around the realitites of UPSC aspirants and sheds lights on the struggles of millions of people like IPS Manoj Kumar Sharma, who attempt this tough entrance exam. 

The film bagged only Rs 66 crore at box office collection worldwide. Amidst all the positive reviews, this masterpiece is an example of how box office figures are just numbers.
