Anne Hathaway and Jim Strugess’s ‘One Day’ has now been reimagined into a series by Netflix. The 14-episode British series will feature Ambika Mod and Leo Woodall in lead roles. The limited series is based on David Nicholls’ bestselling novel and it tells the heart-warming love story of Dex and Em. Here’s all that you need to know about ‘One Day.’
‘One Day’ revolves around Emma Morley and Dexter Mayhew. On July 15, 1988, they are attending their graduation at the university. That is when they speak for the first time before they go their separate ways. However, Fate has different plans. Em and Dex end up meeting every year on the same day as they grow older. Each episode will explore how they connect, how they grow apart, and how they find love.
‘One Day’ has a stellar cast of Ambika Mod, Leo Woodall, Essie Davis, Tim McInnerny, Jonny Weldon, Amber Grappy, Eleanor Tomlinson, Toby Stephens, and Joely Richardson.
The 14-episode series has been directed by Molly Manners, Kate Hewitt, John Hardwick, and Luke Snellin. The show has been written by Nicole Taylor along with Anna Jordan, Vinay Patel, and Bijan Sheibani. Nige Watson has been roped in as the series producer. David Nicholls, the author of ‘One Day’, is the executive producer along with Roanna Benn, Jude Liknaitzky, and Nicole Taylor.
‘One Day’ hits the OTT screens just in time for Valentine’s Day. The show will be available to stream on Netflix from February 8 onwards.
