Arushi Nishank: We’ve Been Trained So Hard To Be Successful That On That Path We Often Overlook Our Mental Health

Filmmaker-actress Arushi Nishank opens up about how everyone needs to work on their mental health. Also, she feels everyone needs to give time to a relationship whether it’s a romantic one or a friendship or anything else – everything needs patience.

Be it a relationship of friendship or one that is romantic in nature, everything requires commitment and patience, says filmmaker-actress Arushi Nishank. She adds that you need to give a relationship time to mature.

“Building strong relationships, whether romantic or platonic, requires patience, understanding, and effort. In today’s fast-paced world, some people may prioritise instant gratification, but many still value deep connections. It’s all about the way you look at life. Not sure about people but I still believe if you have pure intentions for the other person you learn to deal with patience,” she says.

She adds, “For me, while building a relationship, communication is the key. I believe being open, honest, and empathetic helps in understanding each other better. Any kind of relationship requires effort. Investing time and combined efforts in shared activities and creating meaningful memories also strengthens bonds. At the end of the day, it’s the intention to build a pure bond that plays an important role.”

Meanwhile, she says that we need to be vigilant of our mental health in today’s pace of life. “Honestly, in the fast-paced life that we live, emotional well-being is definitely ignored. While there is so much awareness about taking care of your mental health and emotional needs, it is not as easy as it is said. So, it’s very important for us to surround ourselves with people that we love for the times when we need them the most,” she says.

She adds, “As much as I want to deny it, I know it is a ground reality. We have always been trained so hard from our younger days to be successful that on the path to being successful, we often overlook our mental health. Just a hug from the right person at the right time can make an unimaginable difference that is very important. Although now I feel we have made tremendous progress in the way we can openly talk about our mental health and people take it seriously rather than making fun of it.”
