‘Baahubali’ Fame Sathyaraj To Play A Villain In Salman Khan’s ‘Sikandar’? Here’s What We Know

On the occasion of Eid this year, Salman Khan gave a perfect gift to his fans as he announced his next film, ‘Sikandar’. He revealed how the film has been locked to release on the occasion of Eid 2025. His next film is with AR Murugadoss, and the actor even announced its title. Adding to the excitement, Rashmika Mandanna will be seen in the role of a female lead.

Now if recent reports are to be believed, ‘Baahubali’ fame Sathyaraj is all set to play the villain role in ‘Sikandar’. In a latest interview, journalist turned producer Chithra Laksmanan revealed that South star Sathyaraj is all set to play the villain in Salman Khan’s ‘Sikandar’. Well, an official confirmation regarding the same is yet awaited. 

As for ‘Sikandar’, Salman shared the title slate of the film recently, with a caption that read, “Sajid Nadiadwala presents Salman Khan in and as Sikandar.” Sharing the title, he even shoutout to this year’s Eid releases, Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ and Ajay Devgn’s ‘Maidaan’, and wrote, “Iss Eid ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ aur ‘Maidaan’ ko dekho aur agli Eid Sikandar se aa kar milo…. Wish u all Eid Mubarak!”

Meanwhile, in a recent interview with Times Of India, A R Murugadoss talked about the much-awaited film and mentioned that besides having high-octane action sequences, the film would be high on emotions and also carry a powerful social message. 

“It will be a pan-India film. Audiences can expect to see a new kind of Salman Khan in this film,” he said, adding, “Salman and I had discussed this project five years ago, but due to circumstances, we couldn’t proceed at that time. Recently, he asked for another narration. After that, he said that the script gave him a good vibe and asked if we could start working on it immediately.”

Reportedly, the film would be made on a huge budget of Rs 400 crore, and is expected to be the most ambitious film of Sajid Nadiadwala.
