Badshah Finally Breaks Silence On His Rift With 'Self-Centered' Honey Singh: He made Us Sign Blank Papers

Rapper Badshah has finally opened up about his rift with Honey Singh. He called Singh 'self-centered'.

Rappers Badshah and Honey Singh were earlier part of the band, Mafia Mundeer. But they had a rift and separated. Raftaar, Ikka, and Lil' Golu were also in the band and it gave some chartbusters like 'Gabru', 'Glassi', 'Haye Mera Dil', 'Siftaan' and 'Get Up Jawani' among others. In a podcast, Badshah has broken his silence about his beef with Honey Singh.

In the interview with Raj Shamani, Badshah said, "Mafia Mundeer was a thought, and like-minded people got together. Primarily it was just me and Honey. In 2009, there was a break between me and Honey. I used to do a job and I was very scared." The 'Sanak' singer also said that Honey was also off his radar and when he tried calling him, he dodged his calls. "But till the time we were in Mafia Mundeer, we never met. If we had met, maybe things would have been different," added Badshah.

He further said that they made songs but they were not released and Honey was just concentrating on his career. Badshah was associated with Mafia Mundeer since 2006, and by 2009, his parents were very worried about him. In 2011, his first song 'Get Up Jawani' with Honey came out.

Badshah said that those five years were very challenging but it transformed him. "We are also creating so many songs, please consider us as well. We have left everything behind and come here. You (Honey) should not be so self-centered. On the one hand, you call us brothers, but on the other, you fail to acknowledge our struggles. He made us sign blank papers; what about those contracts? It was a tough phase," he said.
