Bharat Ahlawat is set to play the lead role in Ekta Kapoor's upcoming serial, 'Chahenge Tumhe Itna.' The actor revealed how he got the part.
Actor Bharat Ahlawat, who shot to fame with his role in ‘Yeh Hai Chahatein’, has been roped in to play the lead role in an Ekta Kapoor serial. It has been reported that the actor will now be seen playing the lead role in ‘Chahenge Tumhe Itna.’ He thanked his stars for bagging this role.
Speaking about bagging the role, Bharat Ahlawat said that he was offered the role in November. He revealed that he had auditioned for the role, and he got the part.
In an exclusive conversation with The Times of India, the actor said, “When I was offered Chahenge Tumhe Itna in November, I did my audition and gave my best. When I got the narration about the role, I thought this was a perfect fit for me and it’s exactly the kind of role I’m looking forward to playing. Then one day I was in Delhi for a friend's wedding, and I got a call from the makers that I had been selected for the role. All I knew was that the next day I was in Mumbai taking the brief and it felt amazing because I had already done a show with Ekta Kapoor ma’am. Now my TV break as lead is also with Ekta Kapoor, so yes, I’m very happy.”
‘Chahenge Tumhe Itna’ revolves around Ashi who is married as a child. She loses her husband during her childhood, but her father-in-law supports her. He takes her in and educates her. However, as she grows old, she falls in love with Siddharth. She thinks he is the same man whom she was married to as a child. But later, she finds out that the two men are different. On the one hand, she is in love. While on the other, she is ridden with guilt for not being loyal to her father-in-law who treated her as his daughter.
