Bobby Deol On Spin-Off Of His 'Animal' Character: Would Love To As Long As Sandeep Reddy Vanga Directs It

A spin-off of Bobby Deol's character, Abrar Haque, from 'Animal' certainly sounds interesting.

Bobby Deol, who was seen as a menacing antagonist named Abrar Haque in 'Animal', has been loved by one and all in the film. Ever since the film's release, everyone has been praising the actor for his apt portrayal of a mute villain.

Now during a chat with India Today, Bobby Deol talked about the possibility of a spin-off of his character. Not to miss, the actor, despite having a limited screen time, managed to leave a strong mark on the audience. In fact, the audience was disheartened that Bobby had a smaller role and wanted to see him for a longer role. Not just that, several social media users have been asking for a spin-off of his character.

Talking about it, the actor said, "When I was offered the film and when Sandeep Reddy Vanga told me there were only 15 days of shoot, I knew it wasn't a very big space on screen. I mean, I wanted to get some screen time, but I knew that 15 days of that work was going to make some impact. “

He further mentioned how he never imagined the impact it made and called it a reason why people feel they need to see more of him. “I just thank God that I got this much to do and that I could showcase my work and people giving me so much love for it,” he said.

The 54-year-old actor further mentioned how everyone felt that he should have been longer in the film [Animal], but as per him, it is not the time you spend on screen, it is the impact you make.

“And that's what I've been looking for even when I did 'Love Hostel'. I just did it because I knew that character would be very impactful. In fact, when I did 'Love Hostel', most people wanted to make a spin-off of my character. Even with Abrar, people came to me and said there should be a spin-off of your character. I'm like, 'Yeah, this is great feedback to get and it's a great idea as well. I would love to, it would be amazing.' I mean, as long as Sandeep [Reddy Vanga] directs it,” Bobby added.

'Animal', which was released on December 1, stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna. It clashed with Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Sam Bahadur’ at the box office, and has been breaking box office ever since its release.
