Deepika Padukone unveiled her first look as 'Lady Singham' from Rohit Shetty's 'Singham Again'.
Actress Deepika Padukone has joined Rohit Shetty's cop universe. She will star in 'Singham Again' alongside her husband actor Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn. Deepika today shared her first look as cop Shakti Shetty in the action drama. For the unversed, at the song launch of 'Current Laga Re' from 'Cirkus', the actress had shared a glimpse of her walk as Lady Singham.
On Sunday, Deepika unveiled her cop look from 'Singham Again' as she shared two photos of herself in uniform and holding a gun. She captioned the pics, "Introducing… Shakti Shetty! Singham Again."
The 'Pathaan' actress was seen laughing with a revolver inside the mouth of a man and grabbing his hair in another hand. Dead bodies, a police van and a burning building stood in the backdrop. In another pic, Deepika held the gun close to her face and laughed as she looked at the camera.
Rohit Shetty captioned his post, ''Naari sita ka bhi roop hai aur durga ka bhi… Meet the most brutal and violent officer of our cop universe… Shakti Shetty… My lady Singham… Deepika Padukone''.
Several celebs commented on Deepika's look but Ranveer's comment caught our attention. "Aag laga degi'', he commented and added a bunch of fire emojis. Janhvi Kapoor dropped head and fire emojis while Alia Bhatt also dropped a bunch of fire emojis.
Well, Deepika is the first female cop of the Rohit Shetty's copverse. Earlier, a report by Bollywood Hungama stated that her "character is more along the lines of a Lady Singham and has the arc of being Ajay Devgn's sister in the film."
The source added, "It's a well-written role and more than just a cameo. It's more like a proper extended appearance for Deepika in Singham and she will be shooting for around 35 to 40 days''.
Apart from 'Singham Again', Deepika will also be seen in 'Fighter' with Hrithik Roshan. She also has 'Kalki 2898 AD' with Prabhas.
