Did You Know? Shah Rukh Khan Pretended To Throw Coffee On Vibha Chhiber During 'Chak De! India' Shoot

In a recent interview, Vibha Chibber revealed that Shah Rukh Khan played a prank on her during 'Chak De! India' to make her comfortable. She also praised the actor.

Vibha Chibber recalled a fond memory she had of Shah Rukh Khan from the sets of ‘Chak De! India.’ The actress played the role of Krishnaji, the assistant coach of the team, in the film which was appreciated by the audience and the critics. In a recent interview, she spoke highly of the actor and talked about her experience of working with him.

In a conversation with Rajshri Unplugged, Vibha Chibber revealed what had happened when she was rehearsing her lines with Shah Rukh Khan. She said, “Shah Rukh and I were doing our lines. He was walking, drinking coffee. Then he came in front of me and pretended to throw coffee — that startled me! It was a prank to ease me out and we both started laughing. From there a Delhi connection was established, along with Barry John and theatre! I became quite comfortable with him after that.”

During the interview, Vibha Chibber also added how Shah Rukh Khan was aware that the actors were nervous and scared around him. She said that they were nervous because they were new to the Hindi film industry. She added that it was an amazing and enriching experience to work with him and that she had never worked with a co-star as patient and as understanding as him.

Chibber also said, “To work with him was an amazing experience, I have never worked with a co-star like him. When I had to shoot our first scene together, I was so nervous, my heart was pounding.”

Released in 2007, ‘Chak De! India’ was Shimit Amin’s second film. Shah Rukh Khan’s role as Kabir Khan was appreciated because it was different from the other roles he had portrayed back then. The sports drama featured actors such as Sagarika Ghatge, Chitrashi Rawat, Shilpa Shukla, and Seema Azmi as the Indian hockey team players. The film recently completed 16 years.
