'Fighter', directed by Siddharth Anand is all set to hit the theatres on January 25 ahead of Republic Day. The movie has been creating all the right buzz and the audience is eagerly waiting to witness India's first-ever aerial drama on the screen. Ahead of its release, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has given clearance to the film as it gave 'Fighter' a U/A certificate. However, the board suggested a few modifications as per reports.

The censor board asked the makers to remove some ‘sexually suggestive visuals’ and to mute an offensive term. The board also asked for the inclusion of an anti-smoking message in Hindi. Post these alterations, Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer was given a U/A certificate on January 19.

Not to miss, 'Fighter' has been shot at real locations with the help of IAF personnel using combat jets and helicopters. The operational scenes were filmed at the Air Force Station in Tezpur, Assam, the Air Force Academy in Dindigul, Andhra Pradesh, and at the Air Force Station in Pune. The Air Force Station in Tezpur serves as the backdrop for some of the film's high-octane fighter jet sequences.

At the trailer launch event of 'Fighter', Siddharth said, ''We have given it all. It is not an easy film. I’ve made a decent amount of action films but this has been another journey together. Everyone has helped us, it’s a team effort, this is not a one-man show. Everybody has contributed towards the film. My team is still at the studios giving touches. I want to thank everyone in my team and everyone here. Keep showering the love''.

'Fighter' is presented by Viacom18 Studios in association with Marflix Pictures. The film also stars Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, Talat Aziz and Sharib Hashmi in key roles.
