In an interview, veteran actress Hema Malini opened up about living away from Dharmendra. She said that she is not feeling bad about it, or sulking about it and is happy with herself.
Hema Malini and Dharmendra are one of the most loved couples in Bollywood. They shell out major couple goals with their chemistry. They have two daughters-Esha Deol and Ahana Deol. Many of you might now know but Hema Malini and Dharmendra live separately. In an interview, the actress opened up about her relationship with him and said that she is happy in her 'unconventional marriage'.
In a recent interview with Lehren, the veteran actress said, “Nobody wants to be like that, it happens. Automatically, what happens, you have to accept. Otherwise, nobody will feel like they want to live their life like this. No! Every woman wants to have a husband, children, like a normal family. But somewhere, it went out of the way".
The 'Sholay' actress also said that she is not feeling bad about it, or sulking about it and is happy with herself and her two children, who she brought up very well. "Of course, he (Dharmendra) was there, always. Everywhere. Actually, he was the one worried, ‘Shaadi hona chaiye bachchon ka jaldi’ (The kids should get married early). I said ‘Hoga’ (It’ll happen). When the time is right, the right person will come around. With the blessings of god and guru ma, everything happened," she added.
For the unversed, Hema Malini and Dharmendra got married in 1980. The latter now stays with his first wife, Prakash Kaur and his children. Dharmendra and Prakash have four children-Sunny, Bobby, and daughters Ajeeta and Vijeta.
