India Loses World Cup 2023: Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, Kajol And Other Celebs Laud Team India's Effort

It was a bad day for India as the Indian cricket team lost the ICC World Cup 2023 final against Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on November 19. Australia won by 6 wickets. The entire country was excited before the match and several celebs including Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Suhana Khan, and Ayushmann Khurrana among others were present to witness the final match and cheer for team India. It was unfortunate that India lost the match. Even though everyone is currently heartbroken, people are trying to make sure to cheer up the team. Celebs also took to social media to laud the efforts and hard work of the Indian cricket team. 

Shah Rukh Khan showed support for India as he wrote on the X (formerly Twitter) platform, ''The way the Indian team has played this whole tournament is a matter of honour and they showed great spirit and tenacity. It’s a sport and there are always a bad day or two. Unfortunately it happened today….but thank u Team India for making us so proud of our sporting legacy in cricket…u bring too much cheer to the whole of India. Love and respect. You make us one proud Nation''.

Taking to Instagram Stories, Ranveer Singh wrote, "Some highs, some lows. Some good days, some bad days. Some wins, some losses. That's sport. That's life. We are all gutted, but let's applaud our boys for giving it their all (sic)."
