Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas' marriage is currently going through a rough patch. There have been reports that Joe was consulting divorce lawyers and now the latest reports suggest that he has filed for divorce from Sophie after four years of being married.
Reportedly, 34-year-old Joe filed for divorce from the 'Game of Thrones' actress in Florida’s Miami-Dade County Court.
As per People, the divorce filing claims "the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken." They also have a prenup in place, per the divorce filing.
A source close to the couple told Page Six that divorce was the last option for Joe. He never wanted to break up his family, but he had to take the decision as he felt that it was the best for his daughters.
The source further said, "An unhappy home isn't a home, and the truth is that he and Sophie were going through it this year. There's a lot of noise out there, but it wasn't a straw-that-broke-the-camel's-back situation like it's being reported."
The same publication also said Joe finally reached a point where he felt that he had ''exhausted all options to salvage the marriage''.
A few days back a TMZ report claimed that Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have had "serious problems" in their marriage for the last six months. The report also claimed they were spotted without their wedding rings over the past few weeks. Later, after the reports, the singer shared a picture on his Instagram handle and he was seen wearing his engagement ring.
Joe and Sophie got engaged in October 2017 followed by an impromptu chapel wedding in Las Vegas in 2019. Later, they hosted an official wedding ceremony in France, which was attended by the couple's close friends and family members including Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas. In July 2020, they welcomed their daughter Willa and in 2022, they became parents to their second child, a baby girl.
