In the video of Kangana that was taken a few years ago, she was seen talking about the reaction to her previous film Rascals and Double Dhamaal. Both of these films were comedies and Kangana had a supporting role in them.
In the clip of the interview, Kangana said, "Life mein kabhi na kabhi har koi ek wrong decision leta hai, I did too. Kuch log kehte hai ki woh wrong decisions hai par mein nahi maanti. Log kehte hai ki tumhe Rascals jaisi film, Double Dhamaal jaisi film nahi karni chahiye thi... you deserve better. Ha, lekin jab mere option koi kaam nahi bachi thi toh maine kisi kaam ko chota nahi samjha." (In life, everyone makes some wrong decisions and I did too. Many said they were wrong decisions but I don't think so. Many said you deserved better than doing films like Rascals and Double Dhamaal. But I had no options then so I didn't consider any work as small.) She further said that it was all in the plan, because with the payments she received from the films she made a short film in California and even completed a course at the New York Film Academy.
Kangana reposted this reel on her Instagram Story and wrote in the caption: "Even when I knew I deserved better I never grew frustrated or cynical... above all I never made any wrong decisions ever. (smile face emoticon)" She further wrote, "Thanks to my fans for these lovely old reminder clips."
Kangana's career took a breakthrough with the 2014 film Queen. Earlier, she had revealed that she took the project on 'for money', and had never anticipated it would be successful. The film established Kangana as a leading actor, who went on to win the National Film Award for her performance.
Kangana was last seen in 'Dhakaad' and her next films are Emergency, Tejas, Chandramukhi 2, Manikarnika Returns: The Legend of Didda and The Incarnation: Sita in the pipeline.
