The much-anticipated series, directed by Lee Kwon, 'A Shop for Killers' is finally out on Disney+ Hotstar.
The series, filled with action and mystery, saw its star-studded cast, Lee Dong-wook, Kim Hye-jun, Seo Hyun-woo, Jo Han-sun, Park Ji-bin, Geum Hae-na, and the director going all out for the thriller show's promotions.
The leads, Dong-wook and Hye-jun have a special uncle-niece relationship in the show, around which the plot revolves. This action-drama is about Ji-an (portrayed by Kim Hye-jun), who becomes the target of assassins due to the perilous legacy left by her uncle Jeong Jin-man (portrayed by Lee Dong-wook), who supposedly died due to unknown causes.
At the press conference of the show on January 15, talking about her role as Ji-an, Kim Hye-jun revealed that she faced some difficulties during filming, which almost led her to consider leaving the drama. She said that it's because she had to go through rigorous Muay Thai training to portray her character in such a way that it comes off realistically. She added that, "It was so tough that I even thought about dropping out of the project. As time went by and the more I practiced, I gave up on that thought. I poured everything I had into practicing and acting."
On the same front, Lee Dong-wook also spilled the beans behind his efforts to play his gangster character, stating that " the action scenes were more realistic as I mainly used guns and daggers. It was a new experience to me, and it was hard to practice."
