The release date of the trailer of Kiran Rao's long-awaited directorial 'Laapataa Ladies' has been announced.
After more than a decade, Kiran Rao is back in the director's chair. And how! Ever since the teaser of her next directorial 'Laapataa Ladies' was unveiled in September 2023, only anticipation has been building up. She has collaborated with ex-husband Aamir Khan, who is producing this film full of laughs and drama.
Now, the wait isn't much longer when we get to see the trailer of the film. The makers are gearing up to unveil the trailer on January 24, which promises to bring in only laughter. The anticipation for the trailer has soared higher than ever as fans pledge to wait a day to catch a sneak peek of the entertaining story.
Not only that, the highly-anticipated trailer will also feature alongside the upcoming Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone-starrer 'Fighter' in theatres, which is a great strategy for the trailer to reach more audiences. Films produced under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions films are known for big screen experience, so why should the trailer of 'Laapataa Ladies' be left out, right?
Screened at the Toronto International Film Festival last year, 'Laapataa Ladies' received immense applause as well as a standing ovation from audiences. The plot is tightly based in 2001 rural India and revolves around the accidental swap of two young brides on a train. The plot adds that, "The young lost ladies must take it upon themselves to venture on an endearing journey: one of immense discovery about themselves and womanhood; and the heartwarming and heartbreaking nature of life itself."

The film has been created under Aamir Khan Productions and Kindling Productions, with the script penned by Biplab Goswami. The screenplay and dialogue are written by Sneha Desai with the help of Divyanidhi Sharma.
Starring Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Chhaya Kadam and Ravi Kishan, the film is slated to release on the big screen on March 1, 2024.
