The monsoons have started in full flow in Mumbai and many places across India as well. While many love the rains there are many others who don’t like it that much. ‘Sindoor Ki Keemat’ actor Prateik Chaudhary shares what he loves most about the rain.
Monsoon is here and who does not love soaking in the first rain of the season or enjoying their favourite food with their loved one? Even though going out during the season might not be something we enjoy, there is something romantic about the rain. ‘Sindoor Ki Keemat’ actor Prateik Chaudhary shares what he loves most about the rain.
“What I like the most about the monsoon is the refreshing feeling it brings. The cool breeze, the sound of raindrops, and the greenery create a serene and refreshing atmosphere. It's a time when nature comes alive, and there's a certain magic in the air,” he says.
Shooting outdoors during this time becomes an issue. The actor agrees to it, while also talking about his monsoon traditions that he never misses every year.
“As for monsoon traditions, I love indulging in hot cups of tea or coffee while watching the rain and watching movies with my family. It's a time to slow down, appreciate the beauty of nature, and spend quality time with my loved ones,” he continues, “Shooting outdoors during the monsoon can indeed be challenging. I have faced my fair share of issues, such as rain-related delays and logistical difficulties. To deal with it, we often have plans in place, such as shooting indoor scenes or rescheduling outdoor shoots when the weather improves. It requires flexibility, patience, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.”
Traffic jams become a big issue, especially in metropolises like Mumbai. “One potential solution could be improved infrastructure, including better drainage systems and road maintenance to prevent water-logging. Additionally, encouraging the use of public transportation and implementing effective traffic management strategies can help alleviate congestion during heavy rains,” he suggests.
While it’s fun to enjoy it raining outside from the comfort of your home, in case one is stepping out one needs to be prepared and must take care of their hair and skin. In general, during this season, these things require special care.
“Normally, I don’t do anything. I mean, it's just water, not acid. So I try to keep it raw and normal and enjoy the monsoon. But yes, if I have to step out for an important event or meeting, I make sure I don’t get wet and use my umbrella,” he smiles.
Sharing his favourite childhood memories of enjoying the rains, he adds, “Those monsoons are filled with joy and excitement. I remember jumping in puddles, playing in the rain, and making paper boats to sail down streams of rainwater. It was a time of carefree fun and adventure, creating memories that I still cherish today.”
So what’s your favourite monsoon song? “It's difficult to pick just one favourite monsoon song, as there are so many beautiful melodies associated with this season. However, if I had to choose, I would say ‘Rimjhim Gire Sawan’ holds a special place in my heart,” he replies.
