The teaser of Farhan Akhtar's upcoming ‘Don 3’, featuring Ranveer Singh, is out, and it will get you hooked.
After months of speculation, it has finally been confirmed that Ranveer Singh is all set to play the lead in Farhan Akhtar's upcoming ‘Don 3’. He will be taking over from Shah Rukh Khan, who played the titular role in two ‘Don’ movies, which released between 2006 and 2011. The original film, which released in 1978, featured Amitabh Bachchan in the titular character.
Excel Entertainment, headed by Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, made the announcement via a teaser launch. It features a man sitting on the floor of a large room as he looks over the neon-lit skyline of a city. The man slowly rises up, takes off his hood, and lights a cigarette.
In his voiceover, the audience can be heard saying, “Sher jo so raha hai woh jaagega kab? Poochte hain yeh sab. Unse keh do ki phir jaag utha hoon main, aur phir saamne jald aane ko (When will the sleeping lion wake up? Everybody wants to know. Tell them, I am here).”
As he gets up, he continues to say, “Kya hai taakat meri, kya hai himmat meri, phir dikhane ko. Maut se khelna zindagi hai meri, jeetna hi mera kaam hai (I’m back to show you what I’m made of).” Finally, as Ranveer’s look as ‘Don 3’ is unveiled, he is seen mouthing the iconic line of dialogue, which is, “Tum toh hai jaante jo mera naam hai. 11 mulkon ki police dhoondti hai mujhe, par pakad paaya hai mujhko kaun? Main hoon Don.”

For the unversed, ‘Don 3’ has been of interest for years now, and fans were expecting that SRK would make a return.
Now slated for a 2025 release with Ranveer in the lead, ‘Don 3’ will be directed by Farhan Akhtar. ‘Don 3’ is the first film that Ranveer has announced post the success of ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’.
