Ridhi Dogra: I Have Stopped Eating Chicken And Mutton Since I Shot ‘Lakadbaggha’

Ridhi Dogra opens up about why people should watch her debut film ‘Lakadbaggha’, which releases on Zee5 on June 30. She also talks about how it changed her perspective and what she feels she would have done differently if she had to do it all again.

Ridhi Dogra is on a high this year. One after the other she has been having some of the biggest releases. First, it was ‘Pitchers 2’, then her debut film ‘Lakadbaggha’ and now, she has ‘Asur 2’ and ‘Badtameez Dil’ which were released back-to-back. Not just that, she is also going to be a part of ‘Jawan’ and ‘Tiger 3’, which will be released later this year.

But before all of that happen, her debut film ‘Lakadbaggha’ is going to release on Zee5 on June 30. Talking to Prateek Sur about her debut film, Ridhi Dogra opens up about why people should watch her debut film, how it changed her perspective and what she feels she would have done differently if she had to do it all again. Excerpts:

With so much content out there, why should people invest their time in watching ‘Lakadbaggha’?

For one, my audience knows if I do something there’s merit to it because I’m otherwise a very lazy person. I only do passion projects where teams are invested in what they are making. We can sell our story and give USP. But it truly is the conviction of the maker that reaches the audience and makes it click with them or not. And I can safely say we have that with the film.

Any key takeaway from the film? Which may have changed your perspective?

Well, I have stopped eating chicken and mutton since I shot the film. And for a foodie like me who loves to eat. That’s HUGE! Apart from that but I feel really proud of what the film is saying and what it stands for. As a society, we are moving towards inner consciousness and this film definitely feeds the soul in that direction. You feel good that there are passionate storytellers wanting to make a story about the voiceless, about animals.

In hindsight, anything you would have done differently when it comes to your role or the character?

I would have made her more bad ass!! But she is pretty bad ass and that I love.
