Shilpa Shetty, recalling her three-decade-long journey in the entertainment industry said that she was 'never counted in the top 10 actors'.
Actress Shilpa Shetty made her Bollywood debut in 1993 with 'Baazigar' opposite Shah Rukh Khan. The movie became a blockbuster. Post that, she appeared in several films but Shilpa feels that she has never been counted, among the top 10 actors in the industry. In an interview, she reflected on her three-decade-long journey in the entertainment industry.
She told ETimes, "I feel there is poetic justice in life, always. I was never in the top 10 actors (list). I may have received a lot of love and adulation but never counted in the top 10 actors – maybe lack of opportunity, or what I don’t know. Today look at me I am doing the biggest series. I have just finished filming a movie. I am doing a multilingual movie. I have nothing to complain about today. We all have our journey, I have carved a niche on TV, and my brands are doing well."
The 'Dhadkan' actress feels happy and proud that she has carved a niche for herself in this 'plethora of talent'.
When the diva was asked about reports of a biopic being made on her husband, Raj Kundra's legal battle, and his arrest for allegedly creating pornographic content and if he may produce or act in it, Shilpa said it was not her "place to say anything".
On the work front, Shilpa Shetty was last seen in Sabbir Khan's 'Nikamma' with Abhimanyu Dassani, Shirley Setia, and Samir Soni. She will be next seen in 'Sukhee'. Shetty also has a Kannada film, and Rohit Shetty's web series 'Indian Police Force' in her kitty. She has recently returned as one of the judges of 'India’s Got Talent' new season.
