Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone-starrer 'Fighter' has been banned in all Gulf countries, except for UAE. The reason for it has not been disclosed yet.
With only a day left for its release, the cast and crew of 'Fighter' has gone to great lengths to promote the upcoming film. Anticipation has also been building up among fans of Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, who are excited to see their on-screen chemistry for the very first time. Audiences are eager to see how this aerial actioner film will pan out on the big screens.
While the film is slated for a release worldwide tomorrow, unfortunately, the Gulf countries will not be witnessing the magic of 'Fighter.' According to Girish Johar, a film business expert and producer, the Siddharth Anand-directorial has been denied release in the Middle East region except for UAE at the moment. However, the reason for this ban has not yet been disclosed.
A source close to the film's development team has also confirmed this news. However, any official updates from the makers or the cast of the film are awaited.
Despite not been green-lit from the censor board in the Gulf countries, audiences in India are excited and many cinema halls are already sold out. Starring Deepika and Hrithik in lead roles, the film will also see Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover and Akshay Oberoi, and is made as a tribute to the sacrifice and patriotism of the Indian Armed Forces.
