Now the critically acclaimed filmmaker has given an update about his dream project. For those caught unaware, post ‘RRR’, Rajmouli has been talking about his dream of making a film on the Indian epic ‘Mahabharat’. He has called it his dream project on several occasions.
Talking about it, the filmmaker mentioned that it would take at least a year to read every version of Mahabharat currently available in the country. “If I get to the point of making Mahabharat, it would take me a year just to read the versions of Mahabharat that are available in the country. At present, I can only assume that it would be a 10-part film,” he said.
Asked if ‘Mahabharat’ is really anytime soon in his planned things, Rajamouli said that’s the aim of his life. “Every film I make, I feel that I’m learning something to ultimately make ‘Mahabharat’. So that’s my dream and every step is towards that,” he said.
Meanwhile, ‘RRR’ has minted over Rs 1200 crore worldwide. The movie stars Ram Charan and Jr NTR in lead roles. The film’s song ‘Naatu Naatu’ won an Oscar and Golden Globe this year.
