Tanishaa Mukerji Reveals Why She And Uday Chopra Broke Up After 2 Years Of Dating

Actress Tanishaa Mukerji is currently stealing all the spotlight because of her performances on 'Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa 11.' Apart from her dancing, she has also proved her acting prowess in many movies like 'Neal 'n' Nikki,' 'Sarkar,' 'Antar,' and 'One Two Three,' to name a few.

Now, during a chat with Siddharth Kannan, Tanishaa took a trip down memory lane and gave us insights into her relationship with co-star Uday Chopra. She said (translated), “Uday and I crossed paths during the filming of 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.' That was around 10-15 years ago. We became friends, and we continued to be that way. It was during the film that we got closer. And then, we fell in love. It was just a natural progression for us.” 

She went onto reveal why the two, who dated for "two years," ended their relationship. The actress, who found coping to be "tough emotionally" said (translated), “Why do breakups happen? You realise that something is not working. It's very natural and I think people make a big deal out of it. We realised it was not working, and we are still friends.”

Furthermore, she made her Bollywood debut alongside Uday in 'Neal 'n' Nikki,' which included many intimate scenes. Opening up on that, Tanishaa mentioned, “I was comfortable because Uday and I knew each other. We started dating during the shoot of the film, so it was like I was doing it with my boyfriend, so it became easy. It was too much kissing on-screen."

She also went on to reveal that her sister-actress Kajol has not watched the film till date. Furthermore, if the film was offered to her today, she would have played her role "differently."
