2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF 150: Image Gallery

Suzuki's all-new 2019 Gixxer SF 150 explained in pictures

Suzuki has launched the all-new 2019 Gixxer SF 150 at Rs 1.08 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Gixxer has evolved into a sportier bike in its new iteration and gets premium features as well. Here is a detailed image gallery explaining what's new in this bike.

The first thing you notice is the sharp bodywork. It is all new, from the front fairing to the sporty tail section. From the side profile, you’ll notice hints of Suzuki's larger GSX-S1000F sports tourer.

Both the Suzuki Gixxer SF 150 and the new Gixxer SF 250 get similar bodywork. However, the smaller Gixxer 250 gets a black fairing over the headlamp while the Gixxer 250 gets a body-coloured fairing.

The LED headlamp lens has three sections. It is a large unit and touches the side fairings on both sides.

The bike is available in two colours: Glass Sparkle Black and Metallic Sonic Silver.

Keeping with its sporty stance, the Gixxer SF 150 gets deep knee recesses. Fuel tank capacity is 12 litres.

For an added dose of sportiness, the Gixxer SF 150 gets split seats. Seat height too has increased by 15mm and now sits at 795mm. You also get new, wider grab rails.

The new exhaust muffler gets a different design. There is liberal use of chrome on the exhaust tip and heat shield.

Switchgear has been carried over from the first generation Gixxer and Gixxer SF. Notice the capped mirror mount? That's because the mirrors have been mounted on the fairing.

You now get clip-on handlebars in place of the one-piece unit. Coupled with the new seat and rearset footpegs, it should make for a sporty riding position.

While the previous-generation Gixxer SF too got a digital instrument console, this one is all new and has a larger layout. It gets white backlighting and large legible fonts.

The tail lamp now gets LED lighting. However, the turn indicators still use conventional bulb lighting.

While the previous-generation Gixxer SF came in carburetted and fuel-injected variants, the 2019 bike will only come with a fuel injected motor. In fact, Suzuki will be introducing fuel-injection in all its bikes and scooters just in time for the BS6 norms in April next year.

The 155cc air-cooled single-cylinder motor retains the same internals and makes 14.1PS at 8000rpm and 14Nm at 6000rpm. Surprisingly, the new bike makes 0.7PS less than the previous FI model, which seems odd given its sporty focus.

The 2019 Gixxer SF 150 gets discs on both wheels with ByBre calipers. It also gets a single-channel ABS setup as standard. For sportiness, the front forks get stiffer springs.

The rear gets a preload-adjustable monoshock.

The 2019 Gixxer SF 150 is priced at Rs 109,870 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Its main competition comes from the Hero Xtreme 200S, which at Rs 98,500 offers fantastic value.
