Bajaj Avenger 180 and the V15 do not get ABS; expected to be replaced with Avenger 160 ABS and V12 CBS
Bajaj Auto has updated its website with the prices of its ABS and CBS models. The Bajaj bikes that get CBS are the CT100, Platina 100, Platina 110, Discover 110 and the Discover 125. Its ABS portfolio consists of the Avenger 220, Pulsar 150, Pulsar 180, Pulsar 220F, Pulsar NS 160, Pulsar NS 200, Pulsar RS 200 and Dominar 400.
Bajaj is yet to update the V15 with ABS and might replace it with the CBS equipped 125cc V12. The Pulsar 180 naked too has been discontinued and the 180 range now consists of the faired Pulsar 180F Neon ABS. Bajaj is yet to officially launch the Avenger 160 ABS. Hence, the bike has not been mentioned on the new price list.
A closer look at the Pulsar 150’s prices reveals a difference of Rs 16,211 between the base-spec Pulsar 150 Neon ABS and the Pulsar 150 ABS. While Bajaj has priced the Pulsar 150 Neon to compete against the TVS Apache RTR 160 and Honda Unicorn 150, it does miss out on a few cosmetic bits. The Pulsar 150 Neon does not get fuel tank extension, engine cowl, chrome tank badging, tank pad and chrome exhaust cover. On the other hand, the difference between the Pulsar 150 ABS and Pulsar 150 Twin Disc ABS is Rs 3,878. For that difference, the 150 Twin Disc gets split seats, split grab rail, wider tyres and a new swingarm that increases wheelbase by 25mm.
