- The TNT 300 now priced at Rs 2.99 lakh; 302R now costs Rs 3.1 lakh (ex-showroom).
The TNT 300 and 302R receive a significant price reduction
Benelli has significantly reduced the prices of its 300cc models, the TNT 300 and 302R. While the TNT 300 and 302R were priced at Rs 3.5 lakh and 3.7 lakh, respectively, they now cost Rs 2.99 lakh and Rs 3.1 lakh. That's a price drop of Rs 51,000 for the TNT 300 and Rs 60,000 for the 302R.
At this price, the new 302 R is Rs 12,000 more expensive than the Kawasaki Ninja 300, the most affordable, faired, parallel-twin motorcycle sold in India.
The price revision is due to a reduction in manufacturing costs at the source. Benelli bikes are brought into the country as completely knocked down units (CKD) from China. Benelli has managed to reduce manufacturing costs in China and the benefits have trickled down here in the form of price reductions.
Both the TNT 300 and 302R have the same 300cc motor and underpinnings. The 300cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin motor produces 38.8PS and 26.5Nm. It gets a 6-speed gearbox. Both get a trellis frame, upside down fork, monoshock, and a twin front disc setup. The bikes get dual-channel ABS as standard.
Both bikes are now on sale at all Benelli showrooms in the country. Here is a press release from the company.
