While other 6-year-olds may be waving in amazement to planes flying overhead, Adam Mohammad Amer has already had an experience flying one.
Onboard an Etihad Airways flight from Morocco to Abu Dhabi, Amer was invited to the cockpit where his genius at understanding of the plane's complex functioning left the captain and crew amazed. The video of Amer's impeccable aviation jargon captured by Etihad Captain Samer Yakhlef has since gone viral.
'And if you have no hydraulics and your plane is taking right, you reduce engine 1 and increase engine 2 then the plane will go level again,' he is heard telling the crew.
Weeks after Amer's first encounter with the cockpit, he was invited again, this time to fly Etihad’s Airbus A380 flight simulator in Abu Dhabi.
Dressed in a custom-made child size pilot uniform, Amer navigated the virtual plane and was successful in landing it to safety, despite a hindrance during the flight when the nose of the plane appeared to be pointing down.
