An earthquake of 6 magnitude hit southern Philippines on Tuesday, according to United States Geological Survey (USGS).
The earthquake in Philippines today caused statewide power outage. Earlier on Monday, another earthquake had damaged a road.

The USGS said the earthquake struck four kms southeast of of San Mariano in Davao de Oro province of Philippines at 11:32 am.
While USGS reported it to have a 6-magnitude, the Philippine media reported it to be 5.9-magnitude.
The state seismologists said damage and aftershocks are expected, according to CNN Philippines.
There was no immediate clarity on the extend of damage. However, Rappler reported that the earthquake caused panic and resulted in significant damage.
Rappler further reported that Tuesday's earthquake is the latest this week. Earthquakes were also faced earlier on Monday. It has also taken out the power supply of the region.
"The whole Davao de Oro province is without electricity now," said Elvie Camporidondo, operations staff at Davao de Oro’s Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.
Noel Duarte, the provincial director of the Department of the Interior and Local Government in Davao de Oro, said local officials were still evaluating the extent of the damage caused by the most recent earthquake, as per Rappler.
It further reported that a weaker earthquake on Tuesday also damaged a section of a national road between Maragusan and New Bataan.
