On Friday, two terrorists were killed while two soldiers were martyred in an attack by terrorists on a Frontier Constabulary (FC) camp in Balochistan’s Muslim Bagh town, as per the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
According to the reports by Dawn, the statement issued by ISPR said that a “group of terrorists attacked an FC camp in Muslim Bagh area in northern Balochistan”. The security forces have sent two terrorists “to hell” while continuing their efforts to capture the remaining terrorists, who have been cornered into a building complex.
A heavy exchange of fire is also taking place, and the operation by the security forces is “under way” to capture the terrorists. The ISPR further said that “Commander 12 Corps is supervising the security forces operations being conducted at Muslim Bagh area in Balochistan where terrorists have been cornered.”
The incident follows a recent surge in terrorist activity across Pakistan since the banned militant group Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan ended its ceasefire with the government in November last year.
Two weeks ago, security forces repelled three assaults and killed seven terrorists in Lakki Marwat. The military is taking action to tackle the growing threat of terrorism in the country, with several operations being conducted to capture or eliminate terrorist elements.
