‘Kim Kardashian: Hollywood’ Shutting Down After 10 Years In April

Kim Kardashian's Hollywood game's closure has been confirmed by Kardishian herself. She expressed gratitude to her fans and the team behind the project.

Kim Kardashian bids farewell to her iconic mobile game venture, "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood," which entertained fans for a dazzling decade. Launched in collaboration with mobile gaming developer Glu in June 2014, the game allowed players to rise to A-list stardom by navigating through events, acting, modeling, club appearances, and dating in the glamorous world of Kim Kardashian.

While the mobile game was initially free, players could enhance their virtual celebrity journey by purchasing "K stars." After a remarkable run, Kardashian confirmed the closure and expressed gratitude to the Glu team and dedicated players who contributed to the game's success.

"I'm so grateful from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has loved and played Kim Kardashian: Hollywood in the past 10 years," shared the 43-year-old star. "This journey has meant so much to me, but I’ve realized that it’s time to focus that energy into other passions. I want to thank the Glu team and the many people behind the scenes who have worked diligently on making it a success."

The game has been removed from both Apple and Android app stores. Users with the app already downloaded can continue using its features until April 8, as indicated by a notice upon login and a countdown timer marking the app's eventual shutdown.

Kim Kardashian: Hollywood achieved massive success, reaching an impressive $200 million in annual revenue within a month of its 2014 launch. The game featured appearances from Kardashian family members like Khloé Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, and Kris Jenner, along with digital cameos from other celebrities, including André Leon Talley and NeNe Leakes.

As the digital curtains close on this glamorous chapter, Kim Kardashian expresses perpetual inspiration from the community built around the game. Fans have until April 8 to savor the virtual glitz and glam before the game's final curtain call.
