The host of ‘The Bachelorette’, Jesse Palmer, announced on the finale episode of the season that Joey Graziadei, 28, will be the lead for ‘The Bachelor’ season 28, which will premiere in 2024.
Joey was the runner-up on "The Bachelorette" Season 20, which starred leading lady Charity Lawson.
Lawson's season of "The Bachelorette" ended on Monday night with an emotional send-off for Graziadei, who was proposing to her as she told him she was going to marry someone else. Both Lawson and Graziadei showed a lot of respect and admiration for each other through their tears. This showed that Graziadei might be a mature and sensitive "Bachelor." In other words, he got his "Bachelor edit," which is what fans of the series call the final edit.
"We always said that even if we weren't in love with each other, we would always love each other," Graziadei told Lawson on Monday night, when they sat down together for the first time since they broke up on TV. When Graziadei was sent home after they almost proposed, he cried in the car and asked himself, "When is it going to happen for me?"
Well, it appears that it will happen very soon when production on the show, which traditionally airs in January each year, begins. "This is crazy," Graziadei told anchor Jesse Palmer on Monday night. "I never expected this. I had no idea this was how my life was going to turn out," he added.
Graziadei was a fan favorite on the show "The Bachelorette." He is a tennis pro from Collegeville, Pennsylvania, who now resides in Hawaii. When discussing his family on "The Bachelorette," Graziadei related his father's coming-out story, telling Lawson that his parents split when he was young after his father came out as gay.
According to a press release announcing the new star of "The Bachelor," Graziadei is "looking for a life partner who is outgoing, caring, and shares his love for adventure and exploring the outdoors." He enjoys climbing, surfing, and watching the sunset, but he knows he has much more love to give, and the only thing missing is someone to share his life with."
There is no confirmed date for Graziadei's season of "The Bachelor”, season 28, although it will air in 2024.
