All about Laura Gallacher, who Russell Brand married after separating from Katy Perry

Russell Brand's personal life was previously a constant topic in the media, marked by sensationalism and notoriety due to his highly visible public behavior. However, in recent times, the 44-year-old Brand seems to have taken steps to shield his domestic life from public scrutiny, particularly after enduring a tumultuous marriage and subsequent divorce from the pop star Katy Perry.
The comedian, actor, and presenter has recently returned to the spotlight amidst allegations of rape and sexual assault, but there is  limited information available about his wife of six years, Laura Gallacher. The couple share three children and had a short relationship before Brand's initial marriage to Perry in 2010, during his early days in comedy. Subsequently, they reunited after parting ways with their previous partners.

In 2016, Brand and Gallacher had their first child, a daughter named Mabe. Just a year after Mabel's birth, the couple celebrated their marriage in an intimate church ceremony near their Henley-on-Thames residence in Oxfordshire during the month of August. Their wedding was a close-knit affair, graced by the presence of dear friends and family, including their daughter, Mabel.

Their second daughter, Peggy, joined the family in 2018. However, a year following Peggy's birth, Brand faced criticism when he openly acknowledged that he relied heavily on Gallacher for most parenting responsibilities, confessing his challenges with basic tasks like changing diapers and handling mealtimes.

Gallacher's father is the renowned Scottish golfer Bernard Gallacher OBE, who once served as a Ryder Cup captain for multiple European teams. Her childhood was spent in Surrey, England, where she was brought up on the lavish Wentworth Estate, an expansive property in Runnymede featuring numerous luxury residences.

She also happens to be the sibling of Kirsty Gallacher, a prominent broadcaster and radio host. Kirsty gained fame as a Sky Sports presenter in the late 1990s and has since been seen on GB News and Smooth Radio in more recent years. It was actually Kirsty who introduced her sister to Brand back in 2007 when Gallacher was 19, and Brand was 30.

Brand once shared with Stylist that Kirsty fully loved him for who he was and wasn't interested in the famous person at all.

They briefly dated but soon parted ways. Brand later married Perry in 2010. The couple separated just two years later, with Brand informing the "California Gurls" singer that he was filing for divorce, just moments before she was due to go onstage.
