Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg: Who would emerge victorious in the unexpected cage-fight?

In a fight between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, the question of who would emerge victorious is the kind of playful speculation one might entertain during a casual conversation. However, this hypothetical scenario may now hold more weight as reports suggest that Zuckerberg has apparently agreed to engage in a cage fight with Musk, pitting these two tech titans against each other in an unexpected showdown. Musk even announced that the duel would be broadcasted on his social media platform ‘X’ formerly known as Twitter.

Speculations earlier surfaced about the Meta CEO, who is known for his passion for jiu-jitsu, seeking a worthy opponent. In response, the SpaceX and Tesla CEO took to Twitter, expressing his willingness to engage in a cage match. Mr. Zuckerberg, in turn, shared a screenshot of the tweet, adding the caption "send me location," a nod to a famous line uttered by former UFC champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Now that a potential bout is in the talks, how would the two men compare inside the boxing ring? With Musk standing over 6ft tall, he would undoubtedly hold a significant height advantage over Zuckerberg, who measures 5ft 8in. Additionally, Musk, aged 52, not only enjoys a height advantage but also outweighs his potential opponent. 

Nonetheless, when it comes to martial arts expertise, Zuckerberg surpasses Musk. Recently, the 39-year-old demonstrated his prowess in jiu-jitsu during a genuine competition, where he clinched his first gold and silver medals at the esteemed Silicon Valley tournament. 

Despite being smaller and lighter than Musk, Zuckerberg's technical prowess and superior aerobic capacity might present a formidable challenge for the Tesla boss. Earlier this year, Musk revealed that his typical breakfast consisted of a bowl of ice cream, biscuits, and a donut. On the other hand, Zuckerberg stated that he used to engage in extensive running and took up surfing and MMA following the Covid pandemic.

Apart from showcasing his martial arts prowess, Zuckerberg recently took part in the formidable "Murph Challenge," an arduous workout honoring the late Lt. Michael P. Murphy, a Navy Seal who sacrificed his life in 2005. The 39-year-old shared that he makes it a point to participate in this challenge annually with his daughters. The challenge entails completing 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 squats, and a one-mile run while donning a 20-pound weighted vest. On May 29th, Zuckerberg proudly posted on Instagram that he completed the challenge in an impressive 39 minutes and 58 seconds.
